Employee Profile

Multi-section profile: general info, security settings, notifications, account activity with charts.

Employee profile with hero header, section navigation, security, notifications, and activity timeline.

One person, many sections

The file the employee and HR both touch

Profile is the multi-section employee file: general info, security settings, notifications, and account activity. It is the same Employee record the directory opened, not a copy.

The job of this console

Keep identity, contact, and preference sections true. HR uses the same page for fields the persona is allowed to edit. Security and notification tabs change how that person signs in and is notified — not org-wide templates.

Seat at the table

Employees edit what self-service allows. HR sees more. Masking still hides salary and bank from personas that should not see them.

The working rhythm

Open the profile, pick a section, save, confirm the directory and org chart still match. Use Settings for device and org-ops, not this page.

Moments that bring you here

Name or bank change. A user who cannot receive mail. After a role change. When Employee 360 is used as a deep file — still this record underneath.

Sectioned UI, single source. Persona masking applies on live paths; do not paste unmasked compensation into comments.

Using personal email as primary
Breaks SSO and password reset — use corporate email from day one.
⚠️
Skipping MFA setup
Enterprise policy may enforce MFA on next login — configure proactively in Security tab.
⚠️
Managers editing compensation
Comp fields usually HR-only — well-meaning edits create audit violations.

FAQ

How is Profile different from Settings?

Profile is identity and security; Settings is preferences (locale, timesheet defaults) applying to your account.

Can I change my manager?

Usually HR-only — self-service manager change would break approval chains.

Who sees Activity tab?

You see your own; HR may see others when opened from Employees register.

Does photo sync to mobile?

Yes — avatar appears in mobile app header after save.

Workflows

  1. Open profile from Employees or account menu.
  2. Navigate sections via side nav.
  3. Save changes per section.
