Onboarding

HR operator register for joiner cases and templates — cases hang off Employee, not a second people table.

Joiner operations

Cases on people you already hired

Onboarding is the HR desk for joiner cases. The person is Employee; this console only runs the checklist and templates around them.

The job of this console

Start a case from a template, watch tasks, unblock documents, and close when the joiner is live on timesheet and leave.

Seat at the table

HR Admin and Admin. The joiner uses My onboarding. Managers may be notified, not case authors.

The working rhythm

Find the employee, open the case, assign or chase tasks, confirm My onboarding matches.

Moments that bring you here

Start date week. A missing ID document. Template change for a country. After a delayed join.

Employee is the person
Do not create a shadow hire list. Access still may need Roles and access requests.

Overview

Onboarding is a workflow on Employee. Templates define tasks; the case tracks completion. Offboarding is the sibling lifecycle, not a status on this list.

How to use

1. Create the Employee first
Do not invent a case without a person row.
2. Templates vs cases
Edit templates separately from a live joiner.
3. Self-service is My onboarding
Joiners do not use this operator register.
