Connector Adapters

Runtime adapters that translate vendor payloads into canonical entities — including generic work-time import/export.

Scroll to Flowcharts. Scenario: Run vendor-neutral project import or timesheet export.

Runtime

Translate, then land on the real entity

Connector adapters run the translation. Success means a Project, Task, Employee, or timesheet row you can open in product — not a row that lives only in the adapter.

The job of this console

Pick the adapter, run with a mapping profile, verify the canonical record. Retry on external id, do not clone.

Seat at the table

Integration admins with adaptersEnabled and the matching work-time role gates when those adapters are used.

The working rhythm

Map, run, verify in product, watch health.

Moments that bring you here

First project import. A timesheet export for payroll. After mapping change. A vendor payload version bump.

ⓘ
Generic work-time
No bundled vendor project-tracking source table. Native timesheet RBAC still applies on export.

Overview

Adapters execute translation. Generic project import and timesheet export are vendor-neutral. They must not invent a second Project or timesheet table. Named vendor WBS stores are not bundled as source.

How to use

1. Idempotent external ids
Retries should not duplicate projects.
2. Export respects RBAC
Timesheet export is not a bypass.
3. Errors
Logs and sync health, not a silent dead-letter unless the connector provides one.
